SENIOR LEADERSHIP
McLane Stone | Pastor
Pastor McLane joined 1st Pres in 2022 having served churches in Idaho and Washington, D.C. His heart for ministry is rooted in a love for Jesus Christ, and he is grateful to be walking in faith with the amazing people at 1st Pres. He earned his Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary and his bachelor’s degree in Theology from Whitworth University. McLane and his wife, Charley, have a daughter and they enjoy great restaurants and traveling together. McLane is also an avid fly fisherman. |
Bonnie Piovesan | Church Administrator
Bonnie joined the 1st Pres staff in 2019. She has lived and worked in several states across the country and has a diverse background in several professions giving her a strong skill-set as our church administrator. She loves the many challenges of administrative work and is passionate about helping people solve the day to day issues to keep things running smoothly. Bonnie is married to Dean. They have two grown children and a grandson. Some of her many interests include camping, crafting, cooking, teaching and being with family and friends. |
Kierstie Renninger | Director of Family Ministries
Kierstie grew up in Coeur d’Alene and has called 1st Pres home for many years. She graduated from Whitworth University with a degree in elementary education and a theology minor. Kierstie has a background in youth ministry and teaching in our local schools. She is passionate about fostering intergenerational connections to grow in Christ together. She enjoys camping and traveling with her family! |
Jenny Shotwell | Director of Worship
Jenny began attending 1st Pres in 2021 with her family and joined the staff in 2023! Jenny received her Bachelor’s of Music from Pacific Lutheran University in 2004. She has served as a worship leader, music arranger and pianist for many congregations and feels especially blessed to bring her skills to her home church. She performs around town and teaches music privately. She loves camping and hiking with her husband and two kids! |
SUPPORT STAFF
Stephanie Rogge | Bookkeeper
Bookkeeper for 1st Pres since 2018, Stephanie has many years of bookkeeping and payroll experience. She worked as an Accounting Technician for a CPA in Helena, MT and worked for the State of Montana in Human Resources/Payroll for nearly 9 yrs. She was also a volunteer bookkeeper in two different churches. Stephanie is married to Leo and has 2 grown children. Her interests include gardening, cooking, and church activities. |
Mikal Johnson| Custodian and Groundskeeper
Mikal is a native of several places along the west coast, from Oakland, CA to Kirkland, WA. He has worked as a janitor in a mall, a bookstore and eventually various offices. Some time after moving to Coeur d’Alene in 1998 he went back to custodial work. He lives in town with his wife, Dawn, his son, David, and his cocker spaniels, Abigail and Tucker. He reads Captain America comics, dabbles in writing, and enjoys terrible, awful wordplay. Most of all, he believes that any worthwhile job is one done for people. |
Janet Starkey | Director of Communications
Janet's career in Marketing Communications led her directly to 1st Pres. Starting to serve in October 2019, Janet has found this to be a dream job. It's a pleasure to serve this wonderful community. She is married to Craig and between the two of them, they have four grown children. She loves to knit, quilt, read, cook, sing and garden in her gorgeous backyard. |
Renee Kurtz | Choir Director
Renee moved to Couer d'Alene from Farmington, Missouri in 2020 with her husband Steve. She has a teaching and Ed Admin degree and loves all things music. She currently teaches Music at Atlas Elementary and gives private piano lessons from her home. She is excited to be part of the team at 1st Pres. Steve and Renee have two young adult children. Renee does NOT enjoy camping, loves summer weather and has an infectious sense of humor that keeps life in perspective for anyone around her. |
Heather Bell | Nursery Care Worker
Heather Cederblom Bell is a 4th generation Coeur d’Alene native who was raised in First Presbyterian Church. She spent 17 years teaching second grade out of state then returned home to marry Dr. George Bell. She has an adult son named Prentice. She loves babies and children. Her interests are traveling, collecting sea shells, painting rocks, spending time on the lake and riding her e-bike.

Susan Olson |Office Assistant / Receptionist
Susie moved from Minnesota to Sandpoint after she retired in 2015. She decided to move to the bigger city of Coeur d’Alene in 2023 and began her search for a job where she could be part of a community and give back to the world. Susie’s past experience included work in the construction industry and she brings that office experience to our team here at 1st Pres. |
Naomi White | Office Assistant / Receptionist
Naomi grew up in Ohio and went to college in New Mexico, but Coeur d’Alene feels like Home. She has always loved children and is excited to have the opportunity to connect with families and show our 1st Pres kids how much God loves them. Naomi and her husband Isaac have one adorable little boy. Naomi loves board games, books,camping, and any craft she can get her hands on! |
Yvette Wyatt | Pre k-K Grade Sunday School Teacher
Yvette is grateful to claim that she has been a part of the wonderful FPC congregation for 27 years. During most of that time she volunteered on the PreK Sunday School teaching team. Having a passion to positively affect the lives of children and being retired from the field of Early Childhood Education, this position seemed a perfect fit.
Yvette is married to Jim and together they raised two girls, two boys and are the proud Oma and Opa to four grands and two step-grands. Yvette loves to: visit with friends; go RVing, kayaking, e-biking; repurpose stuff in garden-scaping to make fun places to read and to visit with friends. (Yes, I repeated it twice, it’s my favorite thing to do.) |
Aly Prades | 1st - 2nd Grade Sunday School Teacher
Aly moved to Coeur d'Alene with her husband and two kids in July 2024 and has been attending 1st Pres ever since. She has her Master's in Applied Linguistics and has spent most of her teaching career working with college students. As a parent of a second grader, she is excited to adapt her classroom experience to this younger crowd. She enjoys writing, reading, hiking, dancing, and spending time with her family.

Tracee Dahm | 3rd - 5th Sunday School Teacher
Tracee grew up in Virginia Beach, VA. Our family moved from Virginia to Coeur d’Alene in 2019. During the height of the pandemic, the Dahms found 1st Pres. Tracee was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church Missouri-Synod. Tracee has spent many summers participating in Vacation Bible Schools and church mission trips, both in the US and overseas. When Tracee is not teaching Sunday school, she is a registered dental hygienist in Coeur d’Alene. Tracee has taught dental hygiene courses at colleges and Universities in both Virginia and Idaho. She is very excited to step out of the collegiate world and into the 2nd-5th grade classes |
Tyler Renninger | Sound Coordinator
Tyler is a North Idaho native, and has been involved with music at 1st Pres since 2014. He holds a Master’s degree in Music Education from Eastern Washington University, and a Bachelor’s from the University of Idaho. On weekdays, he is a middle school band director. He also plays with Tuxedo Junction, a professional big band style ensemble. He brings an eclectic mix of experience and skills to the sound experience at 1st Pres, and is excited to use his gifts and love for music to serve as the Sound Coordinator. When he’s not teaching or doing music, he enjoys camping, traveling, and spending time with his family. |
Dr. Deborah Rambo Sinn | Worship Keyboardist
Deborah’s career has been one of rich miscellany. Trained as a concert pianist, with music degrees from Florida State and Indiana University, she has played solo music, chamber music, and concerti around the world. She has worked on the faculties of several universities, including her current teaching gig at Gonzaga University. You may see her around the area working in musical productions on keyboards and conducting from the podium. Her first church job was when she was 15, playing for services at her Methodist Church. Deborah has written a couple of books, and her desk and head are always cluttered with new ideas and projects. |
