Sunday at 1st Pres
It's so important to find a church you can call home. God wants us to experience His amazing Love. He wants us to be in relationship with Him and with others. This relationship heals us, strengthens us, and gives our life purpose and joy.
1st Pres is a supportive, encouraging environment where you can experience His love and learn to grow in it; a place where you can discover your gifts and the unique purpose God has for you; and most of all, a place where you can share His love with others. We invite you to come experience all this with us at 1st Pres. Below are answers to common questions visitors have, but if there is anything else you would like to know, please do not hesitate to contact us – we are happy to help you! |
Choose from two different worship experiences.

What Should I Wear
At First Pres CDA, we try to cultivate a “come as you are” type of atmosphere. Whether you like wearing jeans and a T-shirt or a full suit, dress how you feel comfortable! |
What Type of Music Should I Expect?
Our 9 am worship is a blend of traditional and contemporary styles. Our contemporary worship team is led by guitar and our hymns are generally led by the pipe organ. The 10:30 service is contemplative in nature and the minimal music is generally provided by one or two musicians using acoustic instruments. |
What About My Kids?
Children birth through 3-years-old may be dropped off at the nursery (Krueger Hall) prior to the 9 am service beginning. Pre-K through 5th-grade Children can join their parents for the beginning of the service. Once worship begins our Pastor invites the children to the front of the sanctuary for a brief message and a prayer. The kiddos and their teachers then head to their Sunday School classes. If your child would like a turn ringing our historic bell let the staff know when you arrive! |
Where Do I Park?
There is parking on the south and west sides of the church. We also have parking lots across Lakeside and 5th street. |
