Feeling God's Grace and Love

We’re just over half a year into this incredible journey of Family Ministry here at 1st Pres, and I am so excited for all the ways God is at work!

Reflecting on Easter Sunday and our celebration of Jesus’ resurrection, and these past few months in Family Ministry, I am filled with so much gratitude for the overwhelming presence of a living God. I see God’s joy in the faces of our

kids as they rush down the aisles of the sanctuary to pray together, before diving into exploration and experiences of who God is — with each other, their amazing Sunday School teachers and our wonderful volunteers. I see God’s light shining through our teens as they lead with kindness and grace at school, in sports, and throughout our community. I hear God’s goodness as families and multiple generations gather and connect in fellowship each Sunday and throughout the week in small groups. I feel God’s power at work in my own life as I navigate this season of parenting and family, and finding rhythms that help keep us grounded as we overcome the things that may cause us to feel anxious and uncertain.

Despite the chaos and noise of the world, we can rest in the peace and grace of God and lay our burdens at the foot of the cross. Whatever challenges or blessings this week may hold for you, I pray you feel God’s grace and love.

In Christ, Kierstie

Kierstie,
It’s so clear and easy to see how your life, even to just this point, is a living example of how God plants beautiful, exotic mustard seeds all around.
Carried across an ocean on the breath of love; welcomed, nurtured in the Shellman home; carefully tilled into the FPC soil, the Lord now builds a myriad of nests within your life branches for His love to grow.
May FPC be transformed into a field of mustard trees as we are blessed by your example.
Grateful to our Creator for the expression of hope, faithfulness and joy we have through you.
Peace, Yvette
